College Graduation, Now What?

College graduation is about beginnings, not careers. Young people should be networking and socializing. Dr. Bart Rossi, PhD provides some insights on WINk News.So you just graduated, what are you going to do now? You’ve studied for years, sometimes in a very narrow scope career field. Does that mean like a racehorse coming out of the starting gate you need to charge forward?Some psychologists would say no. While the focus is important, so is building your social skills. And that doesn’t mean living in your social media bubble, which was one of the 16 post grad tips in an article in Forbes. You also need to discover what your innate skill sets are is also important. Career skills can be like music: anyone can learn to play an instrument, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be good at it without some natural gifts for it. The same holds true in life — find what you are good it, and just as importantly, what inspires you and provides you joy in the doing.
