What’s Next For Obamacare?

What’s next for Obamacare? This was part of the conversation in the WINK News studio — with Political Psychologist, Dr. Bart Rossi, PhD. Repeal or amend it? What is at stake for Americans? Will Trump repeal Obamacare as he insisted he would do during his campaign? In recent interviews he seems to indicate that he is leaning more towards amending the health care program. This may greatly upset his followers, as this will be the third pivot he has made on campaign promises: the wall may now contain areas of a fence; Hillary will not be investigated; and Obamacare ‘may not’ be repealed.Dr. Rossi, PhD says that people, from a psychological standpoint, should recognize that universal healthcare is, or should be, a work-in-progress. Trump could modify it and re-brand it Trumpcare, but that too would be a mistake, as it likely need ongoing amendments after his term ends. So, Dr. Rossi, PhD say, it would be best served to to be looked at as a work in progress.WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF OBAMACARE?Obamacare Positives: Mental health included, kids up to 26 covered, Preexisting conditions covered.Obamacare Negatives: cost, among other things.Dr. Rossi, PhD discusses his own experience from when he ran his large psychology practice, and the problems for providers. he notes that gov’t and insurance companies should be working together, because just one or the other may not be the answer.
