In Episode 29, we discuss the Attempted Trump Assassination and GOP Convention. Does the assassination fit the same profile as previous shooters? Will Trump change his rhetoric? Marco Rubio was passed over for the Trump VP slot. Will he be offered something else in a Trump administration? How does JD Vance help Trump?
JD Vance is MAGA all the way. He is young, has money, and goes along with all the Trump rhetoric. At the same time, he is from Ohoip, which Trump will likely win anyway, so what does he bring to the table? He is more extreme on abortion bans than Trump, noting that if a woman is raped, it might be inconvenient for her, but he believes she must carry the child to term. He is the least experienced VP candidate in our lifetime. Of the few stump speeches he has delivered, he seems to lack charisma — when he makes jokes, he is the only one who laughs … awkwardly.
In this week’s episode, in the wake of the Trump assassination attempt. Dr. Rossi discusses guns in America. Do we ban assault weapons, or do we provide security for everyone — every politician, TV star, etc?
In Florida, the hosts discussed Aileen Cannon dismissing the case of the documents. The case will likely be appealed to the circuit court and overturned unless Trump is elected, allowing him to sidestep it.
Ron DeSantis slipped out of the spotlight. But first, Marco Rubio seemed to think he had the VP slot, and he wanted it. The body language displayed his dismay. Why would anyone in the wake of what happened to Mike Pense, who was nothing but loyal for four years? DeSantis got on the convention stage. If Trump were to win, JD Vance would become the heir apparent, not DeSantis. Is his White House dreams gone? This and more.
Attempted Trump Assassination,
If you’re not aware of Project 2025, everyone needs to read this. Trump claims he doesn’t know anything about it or who is involved but says he disagrees with many things, and some things are absurd. This is based on the thing he just said he knew nothing about. At the same time, the manifesto of Project 2025 has some 40 authors, many of them his former administration officials. Does Trump know anything about it? Likely. Meanwhile, because he follows the political winds, he would likely be guided to follow the manifesto. The President of The Heritage Foundation, the sponsor of Project 2025, noted — “This is the second American Revolution, and it can be bloodless if the left lets it be.”
